Oil & Gas Capital’s exploration team has published a research paper in the latest edition of the journal of the Spanish Geological Society (Sociedad Geológica de España). The paper discusses the Prebetic zone in Moratalla, South-East Spain, which is partially covered by olistostrome deposits, based on data obtained from two research boreholes and multiple seismic lines.
The paper was originally presented at the Fifth Conference on the Cretaceous in Spain, held from 8 to 12 July in Guadalajara, Spain. At the conference, researchers from Spain and other parts of the world presented their work on different aspects of geological research on Cretaceous zones, such as stratigraphy, palaeontology and basin analysis. Conference participants took part in scientific excursions to places of geological interest in the province of Guadalajara and a cultural tour of Guadalajara city, while enjoying the hospitality of the city.
